Van O'tonno's tuna pie: The perfect blend of soft tuna, fresh vegetables and a crispy puff pastry. An irresistible recipe to delight the palate.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 can of Van O’tonno Tuna
- 1 celery stalk, diced
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1 package of puff pastry dough (or sliced bread)
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 5 capers (optional)
- ½ small onion, cubes
- ½ medium carrot, diced
- ¼ teaspoon of thyme
- Salt to taste
- Sesame seeds
PREPARATION

Add a tablespoon of olive oil in a frying pan and sauté the onion, carrot, and celery until soft, thyme, salt, and pepper to taste.

Add the tuna, capers and integrate everything very well. Then add a tablespoon of cream and mix again.

Cut the puff pastry dough into squares of approximately 10 cm on each side and fill each of them with the mixture you made earlier.

Seal the edges and decorate with milk cream and sesame seeds. Bake at 180°C for 20 mins or until golden brown on top.
